The following is a transcript from the Pro America Report.
Welcome, Welcome, welcome. It’s Ed Martin here on the Pro America Report. And we have some ground to cover today, some ground to cover.
And breaking news as we’re watching it in real time, it looks like Congressman Comer of Kentucky, who heads up the Oversight Committee of the House, as well as Chuck Grassley of the Senate, who heads up a senior member of the Judiciary Committee, which has oversight focus, at least he’s in the minority over there in the Senate, have released a letter that they sent to Joe Biden saying, hey, we know there was an investigation while you were Vice President into corruption. We want more documents. Actually didn’t go to Biden. It went to the Department of Justice. So everyone’s going crazy. Wow. This could be a big deal. Could be a big deal, we’ll see, we’ll see. I mean, at this point, as much as we know that’s publicly known about what happened in terms of Hunter Biden and his conduct and all it’s. Pretty clear that you’re not really likely to be held accountable if you’re Joe Biden, it looks like he’s going to get away with it all. So I I mean, I hope he doesn’t and I hope they get to the bottom of it and I think it’s a a drain the swamp moment.
If I can tell you again, remind you, Donald Trump did an interview in I think, November of 2016. Just a few weeks after the Election. Might have been December and he was being interviewed about his drain the swamp rhetoric and his drain the Swamp Plan which he had released in the in the stretch run of the campaign in 2016, and the political article was criticizing the fact that some of Trump’s transition officials were also preparing to be lobbyists or something. And Trump said forcefully. He was surprised by the power of drain the swamp. As a phrase, he had used it and it sort of jumped, he said. People really jumped at it and suddenly it was something as powerful and he said I I didn’t see that coming. Now he’s a guy that knows words and knows phrases and knows how to use them, so that’s kind of was always. It’s always stuck with me. Drain the swamp. And when you look at Joe Biden, don’t you just think Swamp. His brother is a multimillionaire, his sister’s a multimillionaire. I think his other brother is a multimillionaire. His son is a millionaire over 10 times over, a billion times over. I don’t not so wrong but. Talk about the swamp, but I’m not sure it means that he’s gonna be held accountable right now. I just don’t think. I don’t think I believe it. And –
What you need to know is the biggest story in America that is starting to break through is the dramatic change in immigration laws that’s taking place and the lawlessness of the border. You know, we had Todd Bensman on the other day, he talked about the shooting down in the area a couple of hours from Austin that’s called Cleveland, TX. 50,000 more or more illegals. And and illegal migrants that are flooded in there, they have a different set of laws and different set of values. Now we have even even Senator Graham, who’s not particularly conservative on a number of issues went on TV and warned that there’s illegal immigrants that are surging, as to Title 42, Todd Bensman ToddBensman.com has video down on the border. Of him down there of what’s happening. So it is a wild, wild, a moment at our border and what you need to know is that’s the number one threat. And here’s why.
I was able to articulate it better than I had in a long time this morning on a a radio interview, I did a radio interview on Wednesday morning. I do a regular appearance on a a Champaign/Urbana in Illinois radio station ESPN affiliate there. They do a morning talk show and talk. Yeah, talk station in the morning. It’s talk. And news and policy and politics and all. And what I said there was this. 100 and. 120 years ago, when we were bringing in lots of immigrants and there were lots of numbers, through Ellis Island mostly. They assimilated quickly because certain fundamentals were in place in America at that time that are not there now. For example, there was no government safety net. There was no government safety net at all, in the sense that there wasn’t Social Security, there wasn’t a disability, there wasn’t welfare. The safety net was not government run. It was church based, synagogue based, neighborhood based, family based and so you had to to to to slide into the places. You know, you go through Ellis Island and you you, you know, catch up, you catch a I guess you would catch a a train. Yeah, I’m not a train. My gosh, you can catch a train. You might catch a train. I guess, depending on the year. But you get down to Baltimore or or go up to Boston or we’re moving to New York in one of the neighborhoods or Whatever it was. OK, so that’s what happened and you get. Became assimilated, rapidly assimilated in a nation, a nation, not just a state, a nation that had shared values. Belief in God generally Judeo-Christian, but certainly a belief in God, a belief in God playing a heavy role, a serious role in the community, a belief in families, a belief in extended families. A belief in faith communities supporting each other in all sorts of ways. A belief in work that you would get to work, that there wouldn’t be welfare. There wouldn’t be a handout for long because you were probably taking it from the Pastor, Father Mcgillicuddy, or you were taking it from Uncle Tom. So you got to work. 120 years later, we are flooding the nation with people that don’t appear. And by the way, I’m talking mostly about the last couple of years, the millions that Biden’s let through, that we’re and we’re seeing the development of Cleveland, TX and and and we’re seeing more and more developments where people and and they may even want to assimilate. They may say America’s great, but here’s the problem.
We went from a country, a nation 120 years ago that celebrated our unique and blessed role. To a nation that denigrates our history, denigrates our people, doesn’t have faith in God, doesn’t honor faith in God.
In fact, is now a fully, the religion is fully secular and secular in every way, so you don’t assimilate in America by becoming part of the communities of the shared values and
So what we’re doing is introducing into our country, new other countries, new other communities. Let me be clear. I’m not saying they’re bad communities. I’m saying they’re not American. The communities, the value.
And more importantly, I hate to say this. Maybe America and Americans aren’t American enough anymore, so we can’t ask people to become assimilated when our public schools have become such a mess, we can’t ask people to come and become assimilated to America when instead of having a community based Safety net – churches, families, generosity, the Salvation Army, et cetera. The Red Cross, we have a government based one where it’s kind of demanded. I demand things from the government. We’ve changed ourselves, our ourselves. Our nation has changed and therefore we’re not bringing in people to assimilate.
Again, to be clear, I don’t blame the people coming here. It’s a better place to be than a lot of most other places, but I do say if we’re bringing them here and they’re not assimilating into the American culture. The American nation, it’s not gonna turn out well. And what they’re doing. They’re they’re not. They’re avoiding choosing. The secular Hollow America, if they can help it, they they stay in communities of their own.
But the problem is they can’t stay there for long because our public schools are so bad they can’t stay there for long because our government gives such handouts the dependents and the dominance of those institutions. The government with handouts and management and all that and the and the government schools ends up dominating the people. So it’s it is disturbing, it is problematic, but it is also dramatic. The border.
What you need to know is the problems at the border won’t stay at the border for long. The problems at the border are not limited to some, the lawlessness. That’s the lawlessness is insulting. It’s devastating. It includes drugs and sex traffic and all stuff, but it’s also. A way to change the nation. And and I don’t I. I don’t presume to argue that it’s a replacement. You know the replacement theory and those things. All I’m saying is the American experience. The assimilation. It was colorblind. You could be you could be darker. And 120 years ago from southern parts of Italy that are, you know, African, you’d be from Africa. You could be from Haiti. You could be from. Wherever or you could. Be Irish or you could be Scandinavian. But you were going to come to a country that wanted to assimilate you into a nation that they recognized and loved as Judeo-Christian celebratory, celebrating its roots. Based on the rule of law and the fundamental ethic of honesty and a deal is a deal, et cetera. And now you just. Have a you have a culture. That wants to say power is king. Power is King. Power is whoever has power. Just use it against the others. And who wants to drive a wedge in our country. That’s what’s happening in the ruling. That’s what the ruling class is doing to us. So what you need to know is it’s a bigger problem than we ever thought this immigration question. Bigger than we ever, ever thought. And it’s going to be profoundly obvious in just a few weeks how bad it is, and it’s going to get worse. That’s what you need to know.
