What You Need to Know is Congress has a blindspot when it comes to American families. The last 8 weeks, our government has been picking winners and losers and they’ve engaged in some massive spending. But who haven’t they centered a lot of policies on? The family. Not just workers – the family. Now with the looming threat of permanent closure of some smaller colleges and schools, it’s time to focus on education and giving families choices and parents control of their kids’ schooling. Let’s address some real issues like giving portability for educational spending to each family and making all educational expenditures tax deductible. It’s time for the government to remember the fundamentally important role of the family in American life and put it first!
