The United States Capitol Building is known as the “People’s House,” but January 6th flipped the narrative on that. Trump-haters have a disaster on their hands by continuing to imprison without trial many ordinary Americans who dared to enter the Capitol in protest to legitimate suspicions of widespread election irregularities. Their plight is being compared to the brutal Soviet gulag, which is history’s worst example of inhumane detention of political prisoners.
Were those Americans justified in their suspicion about the 2020 presidential elections? You be the judge. Consider a few of the facts. First, let’s look at bellwether counties. These are counties which historically go to the ultimate winner of the presidential election. Of the 19 known bellwether counties, 18 went to Trump in 2020. Then there are the four bellwether states of Ohio, Iowa, Florida, and North Carolina. Each of these have gone to the ultimate winner of the presidential contest in every election since 1896. All four went to Trump in 2020.
Another trend is the matter of weak incumbency. Typically, incumbents with a low primary turnout lose the general election. Yet, Trump got 94% of the primary vote while Biden performed horribly. Also consider the matter of incumbent vote gains. Incumbents have not lost the general election while gaining votes over their previous run since the year 1900. Yet, Trump received millions more votes in 2020 than he did in 2016. Obviously, something does not add up. These are all excellent reasons why Americans should at the very least be concerned enough about fraud to demand strategic audits of the votes in 2020.
Instead of taking sensible action to investigate the 2020 election, Nancy Pelosi would rather shine the spotlight in a different direction. The House Select Committee on January 6, whose members were selected by Nancy Pelosi, became a farce when the Speaker refused to seat two leading Republicans, Jim Jordan and Jim Banks. Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy has properly tagged Liz Cheney (R-WY) and Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) as “Pelosi Republicans” for joining that show trial, which recalls another notorious feature of communist countries. Don’t fall for the phony investigations being put forth by the left. We need election security right now!
