Washington, D.C.: Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles, was announced as part of the Catholics for Trump Advisory Board. The announcement took place during a live-stream event on April 2, 2020.
“I am honored to join Catholics for Trump and look forward to helping the President take his message to the American people,” said Ed Martin. “Even in this time of crisis, he is providing steady and hopeful leadership for our nation. Despite intense opposition from the Fake News and Democrats in Congress alike, he has delivered time and again on his promises to We the People.”
Ed Martin was an early supporter of President Trump in the 2016 election, joining Phyllis Schlafly on stage in March 2016 to endorse Trump’s primary run. Martin’s background also gives him unique insight into the conservative Catholic world. He holds advanced degrees in medical ethics and philosophy and has worked closely with the Catholic Church on many pro-life and pro-family issues. He was awarded post-graduate fellowships in Italy and Indonesia, including work at the Vatican. He also joined St. Pope John Paul II in 1991 at the Synod of Bishops for America.
