We all need to do a better job weeding through the narratives like January 6. A good rule of thumb I apply is the 80/20 rule: there are likely 20 or so percent of any situation who are just bad actors, but the often-times reality is 80 percent of the people involved are really just ignorant. Frankly that’s true of those who believe these media lies as well.
