What you need to understand is nominating a Supreme Court judge runs through a system. Nominees come from the legal swamp, they are from a bureaucratic class of people who are always chosen as judges. The last out-of-the-box nominee was when George W. Bush was in office and that nominee only lasted 24 days. Another thing to understand is that KBJ is a liberal judge replacing a liberal Supreme Court Judge.
