The following is a transcript from the Pro America Report with Ed Martin.
Welcome. I’m Ed Martin and this is a very special edition of The Pro America report. I have been thinking about this special edition for a few days now. Ever since I had a conversation. I guess it was last week with a new friend of. He’s a Jewish American leader, someone who has been active in lots of different causes, from promoting families and taking care of national security, and he has a special interest as a Jewish American in what’s happening in Israel. And as he and I spoke, he asked me a few questions about what I knew of this about the situation. In Gaza and about what I knew about the situation with the Hamas attackers, the terrorists who invaded Israel on October 7th last year, and I realized after the conversation that I someone who prides himself on reading lots of news sources, including from the TDs infused Left, I read them all to try to stay up on what’s happening, and I realized that my knowledge of what happened on October 7th and since then has been incredibly incomplete, especially in one aspect, and you can see from the title of this Special Report America held hostage Day 249.
Two hundred forty-nine days since the hostages were taken, and by the way they were over, I think the number exactly. Let me make sure I get it right. We’re talking about not 100, not 200, but over 250 hostages. 251 hostages taken, thousands killed but hostages taken and say well. Ed, Ed.
Those are Israeli hostages.
Did you know there are American hostages being held today on day 247? Well, we’re gonna talk about that.

This is the topic America held hostage Day 249 and so proamericareport.com go there and sign up. I’m broadcasting live from the Rumble. DC studio, we’re so grateful to Rumble the the the ability for us to communicate on Rumble to the world is unparalleled. And their commitment to not censoring the truth, to letting us say what we know and what the facts are is extraordinary. And in Washington, DC, they built a studio to allow creators like me and others to come here and to broadcast. So thank you to them.
And we’re proud and and pleased to be here live, you know, it was November. November 4th, 1979, when there were 53 hostages taken in Iran. Then and when that happened, Americans, this is about a year before the election in 1980. But Americans weren’t quite sure what to make of it, and they weren’t quite sure what had happened. But they were riveted by the details of the 53 hostages held in the American Embassy in Tehran. In Iran, it became the Iran of, the Iran hostage crisis.
But one of the great services of that period, over the 444 days that there were hostages, held one of the great services was that Roone Arledge, who was famous for creating Monday Night Football. Roone Arledge was a producer and a and and the head of ABC Sports. I think he was also. Heavily involved in Wide World of Sports, which was immensely popular at that time, popularized almost like when ESPN had the X Games and they popularized a whole series of of sporting events worldwide. The the world, the Wide World of Sports on ABC had the. The good fortune of bringing to America lots of different sports and Roone Arledge was a kind of genius.
And Roone Arledge noticed that there was a gap in the coverage for the American people and within a a month or two of November 1979 Roone Arledge started a program and the program was called. America Held Hostage: day 50, day 51, day 52, every single night at 11:30 Eastern Time.
The live program that would later be renamed Nightline went on the air and it had one focus and the focus was on the hostages in Iran and what was happening and how could it be that 53 hostages continued to be held in Iran?
How could it be that we couldn’t solve this problem? How could it be that we could have America held hostage? Every single night the coverage was of the hostages about who they were, about what was happening on the ground and the ongoing crisis of America held hostage.
Today in America, if you go on any TV channel, conservative or liberal, you will not hear about the hostages every single day. And as I mentioned, eight Americans are held hostage. We have been told three of them have died, but eight Americans were taken hostage on October 7th last year, and they’ve been held hostage since. Yeah.
And we, we are watching the American media and the American elites refuse to tell us that America is being held hostage. They refused to drive home the point that were being held hostage by the Hamas invaders by the Hamas terrorists, by people who are known. They are known to this country. The leadership of this country, they are known to the world.
Many of them live in protection in Qatar. They’re protected by that government. They’re they’re these are known people. These are known leaders, terrorists, and they’re holding Americans hostage.
Now you should care, and I hope you do, that these hostages were taken in the most obscene way and that there are over 240 of Israelis and other nationalities also held hostage, and you probably saw coverage a few days ago of the Israeli forces going in and liberating four of the hostages and and killing scores of people, fighters, enemy fighters and to clear out these hostages to get them back.
But here’s what you don’t know what you don’t know is why we’re not hearing about it. What you don’t know is why we’re not being told the truth.
In fact, we’re being lied to about the situation. Every single day until they are freed, the American people should see the images of the hostages. 8 hostages, eight Americans held by, held held by Hamas.
And we should see the images. And we should hear the names and families of all the other hostages.
And here’s why. Because in the world where we can broadcast that through Rumble. And others and get the word out, over time. Maybe three weeks, maybe six weeks, could be 10 weeks. Whatever the number is, the pressure will ratchet up. As to the humanitarian crisis of holding hostages.
Now let me pause and say I never in my life thought we would deal with such incompetence in office as we see with Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and Joe Biden in the White House and others.
When Jimmy Carter was trapped in his own ineptitude as president in 1979, he didn’t know what to do either. He ended up remember Ross Perot famously funded an effort to try to go and save the hostages because nothing else was being done. Jimmy Carter did make some a failed attempts in some ways, but mostly we were lost as a nation and over the 444 days the American people realized if we don’t have a leader that is willing to stand up. And take the fight to the people holding us hostage. Then what? Then? America is held hostage.
In the last 24 hours, we have heard credible reports. I I don’t know if I can believe the FBI because they seem to be misleading us too often, but at least the reports and the data and that what you can look at when they put this out, is that 8 terrorists, 8 terrorist minded, foreign nationals came into America through our southern border and were arrested in America. And I don’t know the details about what what they say. They’re from one nation, where they’re there are Islamic fundamentalists. I don’t know anything about to know whether they’re lying or not.
What I do know is the eight were arrested because they had been vetted by our country supposedly, and they had been let go. But we realized they’re terrorists.
Let me just say this, we are not a serious nation if we allow terrorists to come in through an open border. If we allow people to come into our country and set up sleeper cells, which is it has to be what’s happening, there’s no plausible scenario that that’s not occurring.
And mostly I will just say this question of America held hostage should indicate to you we are not serious as a nation at this time. Because Anthony Blinken is going over to Hamas, who are holding our people hostage, and there’s he’s saying, here’s how we can have a ceasefire. Here’s how we can get more humanitarian aid to your to the people that live next to you in your communities because we wanna help the humanitarian aid. We wanna get the humanitarian aid. To help people who are aiding this foreign nation, this attack nation, this terrorist nation Hamas, which invaded Israel and is holding hostages.
Over the coming weeks, and especially over the coming months, I am going to spend part of my program, the Pro America Report, talking about America Held Hostage. I’m going to identify these prisoners, these hostages, the Americans, eight of them. I’m gonna underscore not just who they are, but how important they are in the life. Of our American nation, and we’re going to do the same thing with the Israelis and other nationalities who are held hostage.
Because again, it’s not just, it’s not just that these men and women are being held hostage. That is an affront. It’s also that the Hamas invaders who decided to hold them hostage made clear as they took them. That they were going to use these hostages and abuse them in ways that defy even our imagination in mine, at least. And so we will get to the bottom of this. We will highlight America held hostage. It’s day 249, day 249. It has to stop. It has to stop.
