What You Need to Know is sometimes silence is a cover. Sen. Feinstein hasn’t been at work because of a bout with shingles. Sen. Fetterman has been in the hospital for weeks. Sen. Blumenthal broke his leg and has been out of work. These folks are missing from vital committee meetings, and Chuck Schumer can’t replace them without going to the full floor of the Senate. When he does, Republicans should NOT play nice and help. It may seem like hardball, but that’s what needs to be done. It will have great influence over dozens of federal judges and many other long-lasting policies.
